Guerreiro’s journey in capoeira began in 2000, built on a foundation of martial arts, music, and movement. After years of dedicated training, teaching, and traveling—both as a capoeirista and as a dancer/musician—he founded Capoeira Minnesota in 2015 with the goal of creating something deeper than a typical academy. Under the mentorship of Mestre Versátil, Guerreiro has grown into a respected teacher, known for blending discipline, creativity, and authenticity in his classes.
Today, he leads a growing community across the Twin Cities, helping students of all ages discover strength, confidence, and connection through capoeira.
Our Lineage
Capoeira Minnesota is part of a long standing capoeira 
tradition, connected to the teachings of Mestre Amen Santo and the legendary Mestre Waldemar da Paixão, with roots that trace back to the iconic Besouro Mangangá.
This lineage carries forward a legacy of resistance, culture, and mastery—one we honor in every class, every song, and every roda.
